Caring for Tomorrow

The Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation established the Caring for Tomorrow Endowment Fund in 1996 to support the purchase of new medical equipment at Grey Bruce Health Services – Owen Sound Regional Hospital.

It's like a savings account for new equipment. Donations go in and they stay in.

Only the income earned is used to support the purchase of high priority medical equipment. When urgent equipment needs arise, or when new medical procedures are found, the Fund will be there to help.

Since the Caring for Tomorrow Endowment was established, many gifts have been added. Named endowments have also been established, including the Percy and Kathleen Noble Endowment, the Tom Williams Endowment, the Peter DiTursi Endowment and more.

Won’t you consider creating a better future for health care in Grey Bruce? One of the simplest ways to contribute to or create an endowment is by planning a gift in your will. Other options include a gift of RRSP or RRIF proceeds, life insurance, a gift annuity or a one-time cash gift.

Special Purpose Endowments

The following special purpose funds have been created within the Caring for Tomorrow Endowment. These allow gifts to be directed toward particular equipment needs:

Ambulatory Care

Diagnostic Services

Staff Training

Cancer Services

Emergency Care

Surgery

Child Care

Heart Care

Vision Care

Critical Care

Rehabilitation

Named Endowments

The Foundation welcomes the establishment of named endowments, and named endowments for special purposes. A minimum donation of $50,000 is required to establish a named endowment, $100,000 to establish a named, special purpose fund.
