‘Radio for Oncology’ Campaign
Larche Communications Inc. (LCI), parent company of 92.3 The Dock has launched its ‘Radio for Oncology’ campaign, pledging $250,000 over 5 years to help purchase medical equipment and facility upgrades for cancer care at the Owen Sound Regional Hospital.
“Radio for Oncology is a big step toward! We are proud to be able to help the hospital provide the best possible cancer care to patients from right across Grey and Bruce counties,” said LCI President Paul Larche.
The Owen Sound Regional Hospital is a centre for cancer care in Grey-Bruce. Every year doctors at the GBHS Cancer Centre book more than 14,000 appointments for patients. In addition, diagnostic staff and surgeons complete thousands of tests and procedures as they diagnose, treat, and monitor cancer patients.
“We’ll help fund the highest priority medical equipment and facilities to support cancer care at the Hospital. This year donations will support the purchase of lab equipment used by the hospital’s pathologists to diagnose cancer. It’s equipment that will impact the lives of thousands of patients”, said Larche.
“Radio for Oncology will be successful with the help of our advertisers and listeners through a series of fundraising events and activities,” says 92.3 The Dock General Manager, Rebecca Dunphy. “We look forward to partnering with many organizations and groups on this very worthwhile cause.”
